The wakeboarding was invented by surfers who, while waiting for waves during a lull, were pulled by a motorboat to avoid boredom. A motorboat or jet ski pulls a wakeboarder with up to 40 km/h. Wake (Wave Keel) is the wave that arises behind the keel and is also used for jumps.
